You will be warmly welcomed as a member of this friendly and informal Club which largely bases its social functions at Cullin's Yard, the popular marina side restaurant overlooking the Wellington dock.
The Club's concept is not that of a Yacht Club in the usual sense, but rather its principal function is to provide the Club membership with the means of communicating with each other (usually by email, but not exclusively) so they can arrange their own boating/sailing activities together. The Club itself does not organize racing or cruising, but of course members acting in their own right are free to make their own arrangements as to what they might like to do in company when on the water.
The Club's other aim is to arrange social events including a supper at the beginning and end of the season as well as other ad hoc social occasions so that members can get together and socialize in an agreeable setting. For instance, several members frequently meet for supper on a Wednesday evening at Cullin's Yard.
Due to the limited objectives of the Club and the fact that we have no premises or expenses, we do not currently charge for membership.
